Obbekær Sogn is a parish municipality ( Danish : Sogn ) in southern Denmark . Until 1970 she belonged to Harde Ribe Herred in what was then Ribe Office , then to Ribe Municipality in the expanded Ribe Office , which was merged into the "new" Esbjerg municipality in the Syddanmark region as part of the municipal reform on January 1, 2007 . The parish emerged in 1885 by splitting off from the Fole Sogn .

The parish has 241 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2020). The church “Obbekær Kirke” is located in the parish.

Neighboring communities are in the north Kalvslund Sogn , in the east Sønder Hygum Sogn in the Vejen municipality , in the southeast Gram Sogn in the Haderslev municipality , in the south Seem Sogn , in the southwest Sankt Katharine Sogn and in the west Ribe Domsogn .
