Christiansfeld Kommune was a municipality in Sønderjyllands Amt ( North Schleswig ) in Denmark . It was created in 1970 by merging the patch Christiansfeld and rural communities Aller , Bjerning , Fjelstrup , Frørup (German: Frörup ), Hals (German: salvation ), Hjerndrup , Stepping , taps , Tyrstrup and Vejstrup .
Although the area was part of the Duchy of Schleswig , as soon as the plans for local government reform became known in 2002, the local council pushed for the connection to the north to the Kolding municipality , which, due to its convenient location since the bridges over the Great Belt and the Öresund, prophesied further economic upswing becomes. Protests against this rose in several municipalities, and referendums were held. The three southern municipalities of Hjerndrup, Fjelstrup and Bjerning voted by a majority for a connection with Haderslev (German: Hadersleben ) and have belonged to the new large municipality of Haderslev since the municipal reform in 2007 .
