Højer Kommune (German: Hoyer ) was a commune in the southwest of Sønderjyllands Amt ( North Schleswig ) in Denmark . It was created in 1970 through the merger of the Fleckens- and rural municipality Højer and the municipalities Daler , Emmerlev and Hjerpsted as well as the district Gjerrup (Gærup) from the municipality Visby . In 2007 it was completely integrated into the new Tønder municipality .

The large municipality of Højer covered 116.8 km² and 2900 inhabitants. The stains on its own was 1700 inhabitants, another 400 inhabitants of the land parish Højer, the others in the neighboring parishes Hjerpsted , Emmerlev and Daler . The country parish covered 29 km², the area of ​​Højer 9.5 km².
