Bov Kommune (German: Kommune Bau ) was a municipality in Sønderjyllands Amt ( North Schleswig ), Denmark . It was created during the municipal reform in 1970 by amalgamating the parish communities ( Danish : Sogn ) Bov (German: Bau ) and Holbøl (German: Holebüll ) and was dissolved in 2007.

In the last election on November 21, 2001, Socialdemokratiet received 28.7%. The Conservative Folkeparti won 17.8% in the election and Venstre received 37.5% of the vote.

Economy and Transport

The economy is mainly determined by the German-Danish border. Padborg (German: Pattburg ) is an important hub of the international freight forwarding industry, and Kruså (German: Krusau ) is an important border town.
