Trafikverket

Trafikverket is a government agency in Sweden . It was founded on April 1, 2010 and took over all the tasks of Banverket and Vägverket as well as part of the tasks of Luftfartsverket and Sjöfartsverket . The head office is in Borlänge .

Trafikverket is the Swedish National Transport Infrastructure Agency and is responsible for all types of transport. His tasks include planning the infrastructure in road, rail, ship and air traffic. It is also responsible for the construction and maintenance of the roads as well as for the expansion and maintenance of the railway infrastructure as well as for the traffic management of the railway operations.

In 2010 the agency had a budget of SEK 21.475 billion (about EUR 2.148 billion ).
