List of perpetrators in Västernorrland County |
Kramfors is a city in Sweden and the capital of the municipality of the same name in the Swedish province of Västernorrlands län . The town is named after Johan Christoffer Kramm, who had a sawmill built here on the Skvällsån river, today's Kramforsån, from 1742 .
The city emerged as an industrial site on the west side of the Ångermanälven . After flourishing rapidly in the 19th and early 20th centuries thanks to the booming woodworking industry, the city lost its importance again. Many factories were shut down, especially in the 1960s and 1970s. Even today the place suffers from population decline .
