Sprintair ( spelling : SprintAir ) is a Polish regional airline based in Warsaw and its home airport at Warsaw Chopin Airport . It mainly operates European cargo and passenger flights on a charter basis.

history

The airline was originally founded in 2003 under the name Air Polonia Cargo Sp. Z oo and started cargo operations in 2004 with three Let L-410s . The company was later renamed Sky Express Sp. Z oo and received its first Saab 340A . Between April 2006 and April 2007 SprintAir then took up the first passenger service operated for Direct Fly . When these flights ceased, the airline focused on cargo flights. In January 2008 the Sprintair Group was founded and the name of the airline was renamed SprintAir . In April 2008, two more Saab 340s were put into operation. In 2014, passenger operations will be flown for LOT , among others , and cargo operations for TNT Airways , partly also for UPS Airlines .

Sprint Air serves destinations in Poland, Germany, Ukraine and two Baltic states with its cargo and passenger flights.

The airline operates a base for up to three aircraft at Leipzig / Halle Airport .
