Ryanair Sun , with Buzz on the outside , is a Polish charter airline based in Warsaw . It is a subsidiary of the Irish airline Ryanair .

history

Ryanair Sun was founded in 2018 as a subsidiary of Ryanair; it offers charter flights to vacation areas for Polish travel agencies. All flights were initially operated by the parent company Ryanair in wet lease .

In September 2018, Ryanair announced the closure of its own Polish bases until January 1, 2019. Operations will be transferred to Ryanair Sun, which will operate on behalf of its parent company. Pilots and flight crews are being laid off at Ryanair and given the opportunity to apply as independent contractors for the Polish aviation company Warsaw Aviation. Warsaw Aviation itself would then rent the independent contractors to Ryanair Sun.

From autumn 2019 Ryanair Sun will appear under the brand "Buzz", the airline of the same name was bought by Ryanair in 2003 and fully integrated.
