Enter Air is a Polish charter airline based in Warsaw and based at Warsaw Chopin Airport .
history
The charter flight market in Poland was dominated by foreign airlines and Centralwings , the subsidiary of the state airline LOT , until 2009 . After Centralwings ceased operations after May 31, 2009 due to financial problems, there was a development opportunity for an independent Polish charter company. Enter Air was founded in 2009. The first commercial flight took place on April 25, 2010 from Warsaw to Enfidha in Tunisia .
On February 26, 2013 it was announced that Enter Air will take over the charter flights planned by XL Airways Germany from Rostock, Erfurt and Kassel airports. XL Airways Germany filed for bankruptcy in December 2012 and has been suspending flight operations ever since.
On March 19, 2013 it was announced that Enter Air will not take over the planned flights from XL Airways Germany after all . The airline backed out shortly before the start of the summer flight schedule.
On May 3, 2019, it was announced that Enter Air would take a 49.9 percent stake in the Swiss Germania Flug .
Destinations
From Warsaw Chopin Airport , Poznań-Ławica Airport and Katowice Airport, there are flights to holiday destinations with a focus on the Mediterranean region .
