Bébé manga
Elizabeth Bessem Ayamo Manga (* around 1951 in Mamfe , Cameroon ; † July 1, 2011 in Douala ), also known as Bébé Manga , was a Cameroonian Makossa singer. Her best known song is "Ami O". She is considered one of the most famous Makossa singers of the 80s. In Côte d'Ivoire , journalists named her Bébé Manga because of her special voice. She started her career in the night club "Son de Guitar" in Abidjan . She was celebrated as one of the best African artists of all time in the "Top D'or 2005" in Abidjan. Bébé Manga died on July 1, 2011, at the age of 60, of a heart attack on his way to hospital.
