The Bölkow Bo 103 was a single-seat experimental helicopter made by the German manufacturer Bölkow Developments KG .

Emergence

The free-flying Bo 103 training helicopter, which used the structure of the fuselage structure, rotor system and the engine of the Bo 102, was derived from the stationary Bo 102 helicopter trainer. The Bo 103 then finally led to the further developed Bo 103 B. This one-man helicopter was powered by a 61 kW (82 PS) Agusta engine and had a take-off weight of 290 kg. The flight time was one hour at a speed of 100 km / h. As with its predecessor Bo 102, the Bo 103 used a GRP rotor blade, which was then used in series production for the Bölkow Bo 105 from 1967 .

Whereabouts of the helicopter

Only one machine was produced that still exists today and can be viewed in the Bückeburg helicopter museum .
