The Alliance of Nigerien Patriots ( French : Rassemblement des Patriotes Nigériens-Alkalami , abbreviation: RPN-Alkalami ) was a political party in Niger .

history

The RPN-Alkalami was founded on May 14, 2009. The founder and party chairman was Ousmane Issoufou Oubandawaki , a former party member of the RDP-Jama'a and from 1996 to 1999 a minister under President Ibrahim Baré Maïnassara . In the parliamentary elections on October 20, 2009 , which were boycotted by the major opposition parties, the RPN-Alkalami won one of 113 seats in the National Assembly . On November 25, 2009, the MP Oubandawaki formed with eight other MPs - seven of whom ran as independents, but belonged to the Alliance for Democratic Renewal (ARD-Adaltchi Mutunchi) party - the parliamentary group Indépendant with Oubandawaki as chairman. In the run-up to the presidential elections on January 31, 2011 , the RPN-Alkalami was merged into the ARD-Adaltchi Mutunchi. Oubandawaki stood in the presidential elections as a candidate for the ARD Adaltchi Mutunchi.
