Switzerland office

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Switzerland office belongs to the field post service of the Swiss Army , which in turn reports to the Armed Forces logistics base .

It was created to ensure the connection between the civilian population and the troops.

Since the soldiers often work far away in the mountains or in secret facilities, it is not always easy for relatives to contact them, for example in emergencies. All you need to find is your surname, first name (if possible, grade and type of service).

In the Switzerland office you can get information about:

  • Locations and telephone numbers of troops on duty or members of the army (AdA) are requested to contact the seeker via the Switzerland office. This procedure is always used when the whereabouts of the AdA are classified as confidential or secret.
  • the military code (MLZ) required for mail addressed in the field , see also field post of the Swiss Army
  • Telephone numbers for weapons and shooting ranges, federal offices, military directors, section heads etc. or, as far as possible, information on general questions relating to the Swiss Army
