The Brush Manufactory Oberschwaben (also called natural brushes Oberschwaben ) in Bad Waldsee in the Ravensburg district in Oberschwaben is the only brush manufacturing company in Baden-Württemberg that manufactures its products by hand .
Manufactory
The manufactory produces natural brushes, brooms and paint brushes from horse , wild boar and goat hair . The product range extends from mini dust brushes to street brooms.
Manufacturing
The hair for the later brush is pulled into the wood by means of a wire loop. In the next step, the brush hairs are sheared to length on a shearing machine. If necessary, bench scissors are also used to cut the curly brushes. Then the brushes are cleaned in a final step.
A demonstration workshop for the brush trade and a shop are integrated within the manufactory. The company is located in Bad Waldsee right next to (outside) the Wurzacher Tor.
On April 29, 2007, the Oberschwaben brush manufacturer was listed in the Guinness Book of Records for the largest street broom in the world.
