Saeimas priekšsēdētājs

Saeimas priekšsēdētājs ( President of the Saeima ) is the chairman of the Parliament of the Republic of Latvia , the Saeima .

The president of the Saeima acts as interim president if the Latvian president dies, is out of the country or is prevented from performing his duties for other reasons. The President of the Saeima must be elected from among the parliamentarians at the first session of the term of office.
