The BA-27 was the first mass-produced armored vehicle built in the Soviet Union between 1928 and 1931.
During the Second World War , the BA-27 was used to support the infantry and for reconnaissance and scouting trips. The BA-27 gun attachments (from the T-18 tank) were initially mounted on the chassis of AMO-F-15 trucks (replicas of the Fiat F-15 ). Later they switched to substructures of the Ford Model AA and Ford Timken . Several hundred BA-27s were manufactured between 1928 and 1931.
