Steven Zaloga

Steven Joseph Zaloga (born February 1, 1952 in Pittsfield , Massachusetts ) is an American military historian .

Steven Zaloga was born in Pittsfield in 1952 to John Anthony Zaloga and Muriel Desautels Zaloga . He studied history at Union College in Schenectady and graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts . He then studied history at Columbia University in New York with a Master of Arts degree . He graduated from the University of Cracow with a certificate in international relations .

Zaloga then worked for the London-based military science specialist book publisher Jane's Information Group and at the Institute for Defense Analyzes in Virginia .

He is a member of the Republican Party and of the Catholic faith . Zaloga is also a member of the Executive Boards of the New York Military Affairs Symposium and the Journal of Slavic Military Studies .

Zaloga is the author of numerous books on World War II , particularly on tank models .
