BESIX is a Belgian construction company that is particularly active in the Middle East. It was founded in 1909 as Société Belge des Bétons (SBB) and is 50% owned by the Egyptian Orascom Construction Industries . BESIX has offices in Europe, Azerbaijan, Morocco, Egypt, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Cameroon and Equatorial Guinea. A subsidiary of the company is the construction company Six Construct.
