Until December 31, 2009, there was a company health insurance fund under the name of BKK Fahr , based in Gottmadingen (Baden-Württemberg).
history
BKK Fahr was founded in 1954 from the machine factory Fahr in Gottmadingen on Lake Constance. From the opening for employees in the states of Baden-Württemberg and Lower Saxony in 1998 to the merger in 2010, the number of members increased from 3,000 to over 160,000 members. This made BKK Fahr one of the fastest growing statutory health insurance companies in Germany. In July 2009, the transfer to BKK Gesundheit was announced, which was completed on January 1, 2010.
