BKS Bydgoszcz is a sports club from the Polish city of Bydgoszcz . The club's colors are gray, white, red. The most successful is the club's ice hockey division, which played in the Polish ice hockey league in the 1980s .
history
The club was founded in 1956 as a sports club of the state housing association Bydgoskie Zjednoczenie Budownictwa Przemysłowego . In the late 1950s, the club played under the name Budowlani (construction workers) Bydgoszcz.
Ice hockey department
In 1978, BKS Bydgoszcz took over the ice hockey department from Polonia Bydgoszcz . The team played in the years 1980 / 1981-1983 / 1984 in the highest Polish league. The department was closed two years later. In 2014 the ice hockey department was reactivated and has been playing in the 2nd division since the 2017/2018 season.
Football department
The BKS Bydgoszcz footballers play in the Polish fourth division. In the 1977/1978 season, the club played in the second division. In the years 1966/67–1967/68, 1976/77, and 1978 / 79–1979 / 80 in the third division.
Chess department
One of the department's greatest successes in chess is the fourth place in the Polish team championship in the 1957 season.
