history
In 1972, the office machines for data acquisition and processing sales GmbH was founded in Neuzeug , which produced business programs and sold computers. In 1993 the company moved to the new company building in Steyr. In 1996 the company name was changed to BMD Systemhaus GesmbH .
In 2019, BMD had around 550 employees (including around 110 software developers) and looked after around 30,000 customers. In 2019, BMD generated sales of 57 million euros.

Together with Trauner Verlag , BMD develops school books that are officially approved by the Ministry of Education for training in Austrian schools and are used in various types of school (HAK, HLW, HAS, technical schools, vocational schools, technical colleges, universities).
