The BV 04 Dortmund (officially Ballspielverein 04 Dortmund eV ) was a sports club based in Dortmund . The first team took part twice in the final round of the West German soccer championship.
history
In 1914, a football department was founded in the Dortmund gymnastics and fencing club, which became independent a year later under the name BV 04 Dortmund. On July 13, 1913, BV 04 merged with Dortmund FC 95 to form SVgg Dortmund 95 , which was renamed Dortmund SC 95 in 1919. This association in turn merged on July 9, 1969 with TuS Eintracht Dortmund to form TSC Eintracht Dortmund .
In 1907 BV 04 became champions of the Mark district ahead of Dortmund's FC 95 tied on points. In the quarter-finals of the West German championship, Dortmund lost 1: 5 in neutral food to FC 99 from Düsseldorf . Two years later , BV 04 secured the second Brandenburg championship with a 6-1 win over SuS Schalke 96 . On the West German level, Dortmund were able to prevail in the quarter-finals with a 4: 3 win at Teutonia Osnabrück , before the end after a 1: 4 against Prussia Duisburg followed in the semifinals . After a league reform, BV 04 Dortmund played in the Westphalia district from 1912 and became champions of Group West a year later after a 6-2 play-off win against SuS Schalke 96. The district final was clearly lost with 1: 5 against Arminia Bielefeld .
