The product range of the WillPemcoBielomatik brand includes small format cutters and complete packaging lines for the production of copy paper (2–16 up), high-performance large format cutters for paper and cardboard, as well as format cutting systems from the SHM brand and packaging from the Wrapmatic brand for large format paper. The portfolio also includes fully automatic processing lines for the production of exercise books and lined and unlined large sheets as well as a processing solution for the industrial processing of digitally printed books.

history

The company was founded in 1866 by Eduard Christian Heinrich Will under the name ECH Will with its headquarters at Ludolfstraße 19, later known as Willsche Haus. In 1946, his great-granddaughter Annelise Will took over the company. In 1970, ECH Will GmbH was acquired by Körber AG , which left on January 1, 2012 and ECH Will, together with its sister companies Pemco Inc. and Kugler-Womako GmbH, was sold to a group of investors advised by Munich-based Orlando Management AG . After the holding company Papersystems Holding GmbH and the German companies had to go under the protective shield proceedings in June 2013, Körber AG bought back the shares so that insolvency proceedings could be averted.

In June 2014, Körber AG sold the company again, together with Kugler-Womako GmbH and Pemco Inc. The buyer was MarquipWardUnited, Inc. , a company of the American Barry-Wehmiller Group. The approximately 350 employees of the three companies thus became part of the Barry Wehmiller Group with over 8,000 employees worldwide. ECH Will , Pemco and Kugler-Womako became part of the newly founded company BW Papersystems , which became the world's leading provider of paper cutting and packaging machines and can offer solutions for all kinds of applications for paper manufacturers, paper converters and packaging manufacturers.

After the acquisition of the paper division of bielomatik Leuze GmbH + Co. KG in autumn 2015, the WillPemcoBielomatik brand was created - as a combination of ECH Will, Pemco and bielomatik.

In 2016, BW Papersystems Hamburg celebrated the 150th anniversary of its original ECH Will brand.

In 2018, the company acquired Questec's rotary cutting technology for cutting very thin webs of paper and film.
