B 56 (shared apartment)

B 56 was a shared apartment on the fourth floor of Buscheystraße 56 in the Wehringhausen district of Hagen .

The apartment used by the flat share had seven rooms. One of the first residents was the then social pedagogy student Jörg A. Hoppe , with whom the performance artist Wolfgang Luthe and the music teacher Gabriele Lambrecht lived in the apartment. In 1979, Lambrecht founded the experimental rock band KeinMenscH! Under the stage name Gabi Lappen . .

Hoppe had met the draftsman Kay-Oliver Schlasse , and since he was also interested in drawing, they both met more often in the rooms of the shared apartment. Later Hoppe offered that Schlasse could move into the shared apartment. After moving in, six people lived in the apartment, which soon earned the "reputation of a kind of commune 1 in the province". In addition to Hoppe, Schlasse, Luthe and Lappen, they also included Sybille Hahn, who would later become the bassist of KeinMenscH !, and another woman.

The expenses for daily needs were met from a common fund, into which each resident paid monthly. Gabi Lappen arranged the payment of the fixed costs for the apartment, after which the residents could find out what they needed from the cash register.

The shared apartment adopted the motto Always radical - never consistent, which was sprayed onto wallpaper in the hallway.

In 1981, Lappen formed a few children from the Wehringhausen scene in the apartment into a choir called the Buscheypfeifen , which was involved in the recordings for the extra- wide album Welch ein Land! - What for men: was involved. B 56 is mentioned in the band's acknowledgments for this album .
