Bab al-Hara
Bab al-Hara ( Arabic باب الحارة, DMG Bāb al-Ḥāra 'the gate of the district') is one of the most popular television series in the Arab world (Syria), which has tens of millions of viewers. The series is about the everyday life of the Damascene people in the interwar period under French rule over Syria , in which independence is demanded and Palestine was exposed to the British. Season 7 was not completed.
Overview
The show is broadcast during Ramadan and thanks to its success it forms part of the emerging modern tradition of Ramadan soap . The Arab satellite television broadcasts special television programs every evening during Ramadan in order to try to grasp the circle of families for themselves as they have gathered together to eat and break the fast.
