Babushka

Babushka ( Russian Ба́бушка pronunciation ? / I ) is the Russian diminutive of the word Baba (Russian Баба ), which literally means “woman” or “woman”. In Russian, babushka means something like " grandmother " and "grandma". The term is also often applied to older women in general, even if they are not related to the contact person. The nestable, egg-shaped Russian doll, Matryoshka (alternative spelling: "Matryoshka"), made of wood and painted in bright colors, is also known as Babushka.

Babooshka is a popular Kate Bush pop song from 1980.

Indian dance act Rashni released the title Baboushka in 2007 .

The grandmothers choir Buranowskije Babuschki took part in the Eurovision Song Contest 2012 and reached 2nd place.
