The Babushkin Island ( Russian Остров Бабушкина , transcribed Ostrow Babushkina ) is a small island off the north coast of the East Antarctic Victoria Land . It is located 9 km north of Archer Point and 8 km east of the tongue of the Matusevich Glacier .
Participants in a Soviet Antarctic expedition mapped it in 1958 and named it after the Soviet Arctic pilot Mikhail Babushkin (1893–1938).
