Bachja ben Ascher
Bachja ben Ascher ( Bachia ben Ascher * in the middle of the 13th century in Saragossa ; † 1340 ) was a Kabbalist in Spain .
Bachja ben Ascher is best known for his Pentateuch commentary . He also wrote Kad ha-Qemach ("Mehlkrug"), an ethical text with an alphabetical arrangement of topics: The purpose of the Diaspora is to show the world the way to the true God through the example of the Jews and thus bring about salvation.
