Fried fish (dish)
Backfisch (also baked fish ) refers to a fish dish. For this purpose, fish or parts of it are used, which are fried in oil / fat or baked in hot air .

The breading is usually done as "Viennese breading" made of flour, egg and breadcrumbs or in "English breading" with flour, egg and white bread flakes.
Colloquially, a dish made from fried fish with batter is also known as fried fish . An example is fish and chips in English cuisine . Fish baked in the oven are also fried fish, e.g. B. Baked carp .
