Backhaus Bremthal

The Bremthal bakery was built around 1900 and served as a bakehouse for the Bremthal community (now part of Eppstein ). It is a listed building .

The bakery originally stood on Kirchberg and was first mentioned in 1686. This house was demolished and replaced by a new building on Wiesbadener Strasse. This is also not preserved. Instead, today's bakery was built in Borngasse 14 next to the local history museum around 1900. It is a brick building with contrasting colored decorative elements such as door frames, cornices , pilaster strips . The back house is the best preserved, but also the most recent example in the Main-Taunus-Kreis . The house was used as a bakery until the 1950s. The stove is still there today. In 1983 the house was renovated and has been used since then as a venue for the Eppstein cultural area.
