The house with the postal address Badenstrasse 16 is a listed building on Badenstrasse in Stralsund .

The two-storey, five-axis building was built in 1893 for the Reichsbank , the central bank of the German Reich, based on plans by the architect Max Hasak from Berlin . The brick building has a brick-clad facade, which is designed in a neo-Gothic style towards Badenstrasse. Deep, ogival reveals and panels surround the windows, which are three-part on the ground floor and two-part on the upper floor. Pointed arches also show the balustrade and the central diaphragm . The building is L-shaped.

The State Office for Culture and Monument Preservation is located in the building.

The house is located in the core area of ​​the city ​​area recognized by UNESCO as a world cultural heritage site of the “ historic old towns of Stralsund and Wismar ”. It is entered in the list of architectural monuments in Stralsund with the number 61.
