The Baderhaus was a three- story house at Marktstrasse 10 in Gramastetten in Upper Austria .

history

In 1595 the house was first mentioned in a document in connection with Bader Zacharias Crafft. The Bader Hans Gurraus is mentioned here in 1660 and the Bader Josef Wöss in 1780.

From 1841 the doctor and benefactor Alois Peither worked in the Baderhaus, and from 1850 to 1855 he was also the town's first mayor .

The Baderhaus also fell victim to the great market fire of 1861. A post office was set up in 1909, and from 1914 Franz and Theresia Sporrer's inn was located here. The Sisters of the Cross bought the house in 1928 and set up the town's first kindergarten here . The house has been privately owned since 1976.

Parish cinema

In 1929, Pastor Konrad Just had a cinema in the event hall of the Kreuzschwesternheims home . Pastor Just reopened the Tonkino after the war in 1948, which was not very easy for him because of the many hurdles. The proceeds went to cultural and charitable purposes. Just wanted to protect faith and good morals in Gramastetten. The first films that were played at the time were "King of Kings", "Immortal Melodies" and "My Lord Sons". The cinema was open on Sunday afternoons and evenings and on public holidays. In order to preserve morality, Pastor Just censored the films by sitting behind the projector himself during the film screenings and during scenes that are not suitable for minors, such as B. Kiss, covering the projector with his hand. Pastor Just had to struggle with another hurdle in 1954. The cinema license had been lost by a state official. So Just had to apply for an extension. The cinema was not stopped during this time. The films " Don Camillo " and " Johanna von Orleans " were shown. After Pastor Just's death, the cinema club continued to exist into the 1970s.
