The Baderhaus , Engelhardtsanwesen or Engelhardtshaus is a two-story saddle roof building at Hauptstraße 26, corner of Schulstraße in the town of Merkendorf in the Franconian Lake District ( Middle Franconia ) and is a listed building.
construction
The building was erected in the 17th / 18th centuries. It has a half-hipped back and a half-timbered structure on the upper floor and the gable front . The building was home to the local bather's bathroom . Hence the name of the house. The property also had the right to brew and was allowed in his gabled hops to dry and store. In front of the house is the lower tubular fountain , which is fed from the city moat and decorated for Easter .
