Badersfeld is a district of Oberschleißheim . It is located in the district of Munich , west of the main town in the Dachauer Moos .
It owes its name to Franz Xaver Bader (1881–1958), who, with the help of 300 French prisoners of war, managed to reclaim the barren soil of the moss during the First World War . On January 3, 1924, the previously unnamed district was officially named Badersfeld .
The first residents were war veterans and large married couples. An expression of the local community, which is still intact today, is, in addition to the volunteer fire brigade (founded in 1924), the amateur play group Badersfeld e. V. (founded 1978).
