Bathroom cabinet

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
A classic mirror cabinet.

A bathroom cabinet is a cabinet to which a mirror facade is often attached and which hangs or stands in bathrooms . It is often placed over the sink or toilet . The generalized name Allibert, derived from the corresponding brand, has become a synonym for a bathroom cabinet with a three-door split mirror front mounted above a sink or toilet . It usually stores cosmetics or hygiene articles, but it can also be a storage location for medicines , so that it can be used as a medicine cabinet . Many of these mirror cabinets are combined with a lamp that illuminates the mirror and thus (especially in small bathrooms) the room; there is often a socket inside to which a razor or hairdryer can be connected.
