Badger is a municipality ( town ) in the northeast of the island of Newfoundland in the Canadian province of Newfoundland and Labrador . Badger is on the Exploits River and supplies wood for the paper mills in Grand Falls-Windsor .
The 2016 census showed a population of 704 inhabitants for the municipality. Five years earlier there were 793 inhabitants, another five years earlier there were 813 inhabitants. The population has therefore steadily decreased in recent years.
