The Baden crown insignia (scepter and sword), like the crown, were hastily produced for the funeral of Grand Duke Karl Friedrich von Baden in 1811.

The blue enameled ball with diamonds and rubies and the equally decorated cross were used from the Kurhut, which was made in 1803 . Other gemstones come partly from objects that came to the House of Baden during the secularization , including from the Schwarzach monastery . The crown is 26 cm high and has a ring diameter of 13.8 cm. The construction consists of a wire frame reinforced with cardboard , which is covered with purple velvet on the inside . On its outside, the browband is covered with gold-plated silver sheet. The eight temples of the crown are covered on the outside with yellow silk taffeta and embroidered with a grid pattern made of gold threads . The edges of the temples are lined with gold-plated sequins .
