Cape Colbeck is a striking and icy cape that forms the northwestern extension of the Edward VII Peninsula in Marie Byrd Land in West Antarctica .
It was discovered in January 1902 by participants in the Discovery Expedition (1901-1904) led by the British polar explorer Robert Falcon Scott . It is named after William Colbeck (1871–1930), commander of the Morning rescue ship on this research trip .
