Taffeta or taffeta (from Persian taffeta , woven) is a plain weave (taffeta weave ) fabric made of silk or chemical threads with a dense warp setting , which forms fine transverse ribs.

In the case of silk taffeta, the warp is made of organzine , the weft of tramé .
