Chiffon (from the French , of arabic ship , transparent material ', gauze ') is a fine, transparent tissue from super twisted natural or artificial silk - crepe yarns . Chiffon has a fine, irregular surface and a "sandy" feel.
A 50 × 50 cm chiffon cloth can be pressed together and hidden in a fist. Chiffon cloths are well suited for dance presentations, as they fall gently and slowly to the ground due to their large surface area and low weight (high air resistance) when they are thrown into the air.
