Badusch

Badusch ( Arabic بادوش, DMG Bādūš ) is an Iraqi town in the Ninawa Governorate . It is located northwest of Mosul . The Badusch dam is being built on the Tigris north of the village . There is a cement factory to the northeast.

On June 10, 2014 , units of the Islamic State committed a massacre of the Shiite prisoners in Badusch prison, southwest of the town . In March 2017 , a mass grave with around 500 dead was found by units of the al-Hashd al-Shaʿbī who had liberated the place from IS.
