Bagis

Bagis ( Greek  Βάγις ), also Bageis ( Βάγεις ) was an ancient city in the Asia Minor region of Lydia near today's Güre in western Turkey.

Bagis minted its own coins during the Roman Empire . In late antiquity and in Byzantine times it was the seat of a bishop. The titular bishopric of the Roman Catholic Church goes back to the diocese .
