List of TV channels

Bahn TV was the corporate television of Deutsche Bahn and, as such, a specialty program on railway topics . The television station was in operation from the beginning of 2001 to mid-2008 and was licensed as a “self-promotion channel with information about services and products of Deutsche Bahn”. The channel then continued to exist as an internet broadcaster . From February 2010 until it was discontinued on December 31, 2010, the offer was called DB Bewegtbild . Some of the content has been incorporated into the Deutsche Bahn Group's website or added to the mobile customer magazine as a DVD .

history

Bahn TV went on air in January 2001 as employee television for the employees of the DB Group . Since a special receiver was required due to the encryption , the program could initially only be received in some offices, break rooms and canteens of Deutsche Bahn AG. In order to make the broadcast content available to the employees of Deutsche Bahn AG at home, Bahn TV switched to the common satellite position 19.2 ° East at the beginning of 2003. Since May 2005 the station has been expanded into a specialty channel and since September 2006 it has been advertised as " DB Group's customer television" and as a specialty channel for mobility, logistics and travel. The station was also fed into the digital program bouquets of the cable networks of Primacom, Net Cologne, Kabel BW, Tele Columbus AG, Unitymedia , wilhelm.tel and other digital city networks.

Bahn TV was produced by the television production company Atkon AG in Berlin. The editorial office was on Leipziger Platz , the studio on Potsdamer Platz . The moderators included Bettina Melzer, Jan Möller, Christine Mühlenhof, Roger Puls, Fabian Dittmann, Monika Jones, Anja Heyde and Manuela Tischler.

The broadcast of Bahn TV via satellite was discontinued on July 1, 2008, also via cable. Since then, it has only been possible to receive the thematic channel via the Internet. There were five different webcasts to choose from : Current, Mobility and Logistics, Wanderlust, Nostalgia and On the Move. At the end of 2010, the offer was also discontinued on the Internet.
