The Bruck an der Leitha train station is the station of the Lower Austrian town of Bruck an der Leitha and the Burgenland borough Bruckneudorf . It is located on the Burgenland side and was modernized from 2014 to 2016.

Structure and location

The train station is located in Bruckneudorf in Burgenland on the Ostbahn parallel to the Leitha . The marshalling yard is about one kilometer west of it in Lower Austria .

The bus stops, parking spaces, bike racks, ticket machines and a small shop are located on Bahnhofplatz . From here you can reach the platforms via an underpass or elevators. The platforms have an approximate length of 210 meters. The terminus of the S-Bahn line 60 coming from Wiener Neustadt is also in Bruck an der Leitha .

The station was opened in 1846.

The exit to the southern parking lot

As part of the station offensive , it was rebuilt in 2014 and 2015. However, the official opening was not until April 21, 2016. The new actual station building is a little further to the west. The new car park is now next to the Bahnhofplatz / Kiralystraße intersection. Since the timetable change in 2015, all bus lines, such as line 272, have been going to Bruck and ending at the train station.
