Calais-Fréthun is a train station in the municipality of Fréthun , around seven kilometers from the French city of Calais .

The facility consists of a depot and a station for passenger traffic, where both TGV , Eurostar and ordinary passenger trains stop. The passenger station is located on the LGV Nord high-speed line , at the exit of the Eurotunnel . The platforms for high-speed and regional traffic are arranged on different levels.

The depot is directly parallel to the loop of the shuttle trains for loading cars through the Channel Tunnel on the route to Calais and the "classic" rail route to Lille.

At the depot, the trains are inspected before they enter the tunnel and the customs formalities are dealt with. Locomotives can also be changed here.

The freight part of the Calais-Fréthun station finds its counterpart on the British side in the Dollands Moor station .
