The Caminha train station ( Portuguese Estação Ferroviária de Caminha ) is the train station of the northern Portuguese border town of Caminha . The station is located at kilometer 107.2 of the Linha do Minho and was put into operation on July 1, 1878 with the start of regular traffic on the section to Darque .

The station building is located in the south-eastern outskirts of the city on Avenida Saraiva de Carvalho. The facade shows fields with blue tiles ( azulejos ) in the base area , which come from the Fábrica Sant'Anna . The station has two non-electrified through tracks and two side platforms. North of the station, the line becomes single-track and leads over a filigree steel bridge, which was built by Gustave Eiffel , over the Coura, a tributary of the Rio Minho .

The station is a regular stop for various regional connections, the inter-regional train Porto-Valença and the long-distance connection Porto-Vigo. In 2004 he was placed in class E of the Rede Ferroviária Nacional .
