The Eferding station is a train station in the city of Eferding in Upper Austria . The S5 line of the Upper Austria S-Bahn ends at Eferding station . It is located on the routes of the Linz Local Railway and the Aschacher Bahn (without train traffic since 2019) and has a Park & ​​Ride facility with 166 car parking spaces and 36 bicycle parking spaces. The station is operated by the ÖBB .

Redevelopment

Since 2015 there have been efforts in local politics to refurbish Eferding station by 2022. The cost of the renovation will amount to around 12 million euros and the station will thus be expanded into a modern transport hub. As part of the renovation, a connection of passenger traffic to Aschach with the Linz local railway is planned. The extension of the route should help relieve commuter traffic.
