The station Escherde (operation Job Title Escherde ) is an overtaking station at kilometer 25 of the Hanover-Würzburg high-speed railway . It is located east of the Lower Saxon village of Klein Escherde . The four-track system is the northernmost overtaking station on the line.

The 1898 m long and 29.10 m wide facility (without embankment areas) consists of the two main tracks and a passing track on each side. The center-to-center distance between the overtaking track and the main track is 8.10 m each.

The structure lies in the cut . In the area of ​​the facility, the Lehrte – Nordstemmen railway crosses the new line.

At the north end there is a signal box that is operated remotely from Orxhausen during normal operation .

history

In the course of the construction work, the Nordstemmen – Lehrte line was raised over a length of around 2.2 km in order to lead it on a four-span bridge 6.5 m over the new line.

A section of the L460 state road was relocated in the course of the project.

At the end of December 2015, the Federal Railway Authority granted planning permission to dismantle two points in the station.
