The Friedrichshütte station (also Friedrichshütte-Laasphe today Rettungswache Bad Laasphe or East III called) is a former railway station in Bad Laasphe . The station building has been a listed building since July 1, 1991 . The train station is located on the Oberen Lahntalbahn , which runs from Marburg to Erndtebrück .

history

opening

The Obere Lahn Valley Railway was completed in 1888. The station building , to which a goods shed is attached, dates from this time . The establishment of this station in relative proximity to the Laasphe station became necessary because the Friedrichshütte ironworks existed in the immediate vicinity , which had to be supplied with coal from the Ruhr area and also transported its cast goods by rail. The building is located at kilometer 51.2. The station was served until June 2, 1996 and had two tracks.

Todays use

The building was then sold by the Deutsche Bundesbahn to the Siegen-Wittgenstein district . In 1989/1990 it was converted into a rescue station . It is called Bad Laasphe or Ost III rescue station and was first occupied on April 1, 1991. The DRK district association Siegen-Wittgenstein is the sponsor . An ambulance , an ambulance vehicle and an ambulance during the day are housed here.

building

The building has two floors and was built on a rectangular floor plan. Wood and slate were used as building materials .
