Islands Brygge is an underground metro station in the Danish capital Copenhagen , in the north of the Ørestad district . The station is served by the M1 line of the Copenhagen metro system . It is in close proximity to the Faculty of Humanities at the University of Copenhagen .
The station was opened on October 19, 2002 for the newly built Vestamager – Nørreport underground line. There are transfer options to various bus routes.
